The name Maya Crunch is a tribute to that spirit: a people who treated flavor and nourishment as something worth getting right. We're not borrowing their recipes... we're carrying their care for doing things properly into every bag.

The snack itself has its own great story. Cacahuates japoneses , Japanese-style peanuts, were created in 1940s Mexico City by Yoshigei Nakatani, a Japanese immigrant who gave Mexico one of its most beloved street snacks. That's where we start: with the real thing, made the way it's meant to be.
